Tap&Tail

Tap&Tail is a fairly new cocktail bar in Shuk Mahane Yehude (Mahane Yehuda Market). The small bar, located in a hidden corner in one of the shuk's many alleys , opened around seven months ago. Like many bars in the shuk, the actual store is very small. The bar, which seats 4, faces the barman and a beautiful back-wall full of interesting glasses that the cocktails are served in. The place is designed beautifully, with a wall covered in fake ivy, pink walls, and industrial metal shelves. The bathroom has a parrot and jungle themed wall paper. Outside, once the market closes, the "bastot" are covered in blankets and throws, and customers can choose to sit on these or on colorful tables and chairs.

The menu is varied and consists of smalls tapas (hence the name tap) and cocktails (hence the tails). All of the food and many of the ingredients for the cocktails are purchased fresh from the different stalls in the shuk.

Personally, this has become my favorite spot to go out to. The gorgeous environment, the great service, and the delicious food and drinks make this bar a highly recommended spot!

    1. Hey Ilan,
It's in an ally off of the main street in the shuk. Close to "Casino de Paris".

I like the eggplant but honestly don't usually eat there...
