Before you come, don't take a shower!

For most of us, a waterfall is a relaxing place to sit by and perhaps have a romantic breakfast next to, however, the Iguazu Falls are for the adventurers among us.

The Iguazu Falls are a system of more than 270 waterfalls between 60 and 80 meters high, located between Argentina and Brazil. The name Iguazu means "powerful water" and it is indeed a spectacular waterfalls stretching over 20 kilometers.

A visit to the Iguazu Falls can be visited from either Argentina or Brazil, but it is recommended to see the falls from both countries, since they are quite different. On the Argentine side you can see the great falls very closely and actually getclose by using a system of paths and a train passing through the park or a quick boat ride right in the river. On the Brazilian side you can see a panoramic view of the falls over hundreds of meters. You can also approach the falls via bridge built over the water. This place offers a magnificent view of a great tropical area with amazing vegetation and plenty of animals that you can never find in other places in the world.

Anyone watching the stormy waters feels the tremendous power of nature and this is a sight you will not forget. The water will get you wet with its great flow from all sides so don't bother taking a shower before you come!

In 2011, I was fortunate to visit this stunning site with my friends. I wasn't properly prepared for this stormy place and got wet from head to toe.

This picture is evidence of this.

  1. Danielle,

It's interesting that the same site can be seen in such different ways from two locations. Even if I never visit, this has given me something intriguing to think about.
